James "Woody" Abbott is a senior security consultant and researcher, specializing in red teaming, exploit development, and developing AI for security purposes. He has a PhD in Sociology from Yale University, where he used machine learning to model organized crime and espionage networks. After leading computing for a research project at NYU Abu-Dhabi, he decided to leave academia and turn his lifelong interest in security into a career. He is particularly interested in low-level programming and creating artificial neural networks for offensive security. Woody's certifications include Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP), Offensive Security Web Assessor (OSWA), and Offensive Security Experienced Pentester (OSEP).
Fun fact: Away from computers, Woody spends his time powerlifting, firefighting, and writing.
