Jason Nickola is CEO and Principal Penetration Tester at Pulsar Security, a firm built on the belief that security should be crafted, not commoditized. He leads the company while remaining deeply involved in and setting the standard for technical delivery.
A SANS instructor for SEC560: Enterprise Penetration Testing, Jason has spent his career translating complex attack techniques into practical, real-world skill. He holds the GIAC Security Expert (GSE #218), OSCE, OSCP, and dozens of additional certifications across offensive and defensive disciplines. He is also among a small group recognized by SANS as both a Red Team and Blue Team Cyber Guardian. and is a three-time Core NetWars Tournament Champion.
Jason is deeply embedded in the security community. He is a founder and organizer of BSides NH, speaks and trains at DEF CON and SANS events, and builds open-source tools focused on reconnaissance, OSINT, and offensive tradecraft, including creepyCrawler and gitSome.
Outside of security, Jason is a dedicated husband & father who played college football as a linebacker, competes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and plays guitar.
